The Magazine — KATE BAUER THOMAS

VNDL is an art + culture magazine, based in New York, that I co-founded in 2012.

The focus of the magazine (and blog) is to showcase emerging music, fashion and photography from around the world in a way that is authentic to the people creating the work. The overall aesthetic is edgy and bold. The image-heavy issues are often 75+ pages long, featuring well-known artists such as Nina Sky, Charlie XCX, Jay Kill & The Hustle Standard and Royce Bannon.

My primary role is to lead the content selection process and creative direction for each issue, as well as design the layouts.

VNDL Magazine was interviewed on Indie 100 Radio, hosted by Tyrone Tank in Burbank, CA.
